As 2025 draws to a close, SILK Medical has more than a few reasons to reflect with pride. It’s been a year of expansion, breakthroughs, and firsts, both in medicine and geography, with meaningful results for patients around the world.
A Year of Expansion on the Ground
One of the most tangible markers of growth this year was the opening of a new IVF and surrogacy clinic in Batumi, Georgia. Located on the Black Sea coast, the Batumi branch brings fertility care closer to local and regional patients, while offering international couples a new destination for high-quality, affordable treatment. Meanwhile in Tbilisi, construction is nearing completion on a six-floor, state-of-the-art flagship clinic that will significantly expand SILK’s capacity starting next year.
Leading the Way in Armenia
2025 also marked a milestone in Armenia. After the country passed legislation in summer 2024 allowing surrogacy for single intended parents, SILK Medical was the first clinic to fully complete such programs – from embryo transfer to successful delivery. Some of those patients are already back home with their newborns. The speed and coordination with which these cases were handled highlights SILK’s ability to adapt quickly to legislative change and deliver real results.
Presence on the Global Stage
This year also saw SILK Medical’s team represent the clinic at some of the world’s most important medical tourism and fertility events. In China, the IVF team (Viktoria Hordon, Zima Filippov, Asem Dawoud, and Nina Gribanova) took part in major CMTF conferences in Chengdu, Shanghai, Beijing, and Shenzhen, participating as both exhibitors and invited speakers. Elsewhere, Anastasia Polonska represented SILK at Growing Families events in Melbourne, Perth, and London, strengthening ties with Australian and UK-based partners. She also attended the ESHRE Annual Meeting in Paris, alongside thousands of leading specialists in reproductive medicine.
Recognition and Academic Leadership
Academic activity remained strong in parallel with global outreach. Embryologist Salome Mosidze took part in the ESHRE Practicum 2025, while reproductologist Dr. Nino Maisuradze earned a certificate at the ESHRE Campus training in Italy, focused on IVF quality management. Dr. Maisuradze also spoke at the 20th World Congress on Human Reproduction held in Tbilisi, sharing the stage with fellow SILK physician Stella Dzotsenidze. In addition, Stella participated in a US-based online Women’s Business Forum and several professional events in Uzbekistan and Armenia, further expanding the clinic’s international academic presence.
Delivering Results at Scale
In terms of clinical results, the numbers speak for themselves. Over 2,500 IVF and surrogacy cycles were completed across SILK’s branches in Georgia and Armenia this year. This reflects not only sustained patient interest, but also the capacity and efficiency of the medical and coordination teams to handle complex cases from start to finish.
New International Partnerships
New strategic partnerships were also launched throughout the year, with agencies and collaborators in France, China, Spain, Russia, and Georgia now actively referring patients or working on joint programs. These partnerships have already begun bearing fruit, with an increase in international patients and broader brand recognition.
